About Us
Our Mission
Atlético Middlebury aims to develop youth soccer players with a passion for competitive play. Our goal is to provide a home for those players with a basic knowledge of the game who want to elevate their skills to the next level and compete among the area's top players. Become a Volunteer
Our program depends on volunteers. Whether on the field or behind-the-scenes, your time and energy help give kids a great soccer experience. You can share your interest in volunteering with us during the registration process, or send an email to atletico.middlebury@gmail.com.
Here are some common roles we need filled:
- Game Day Snacks - Volunteers can join the snack rotation or help organize snacks for game days, keeping players fueled and happy.
- Assistant Coach - Assistant Coaches support the Head Coach during practices and games. No prior coaching experience is required. Time commitment: one-time 3-hour SafeSport/Heads Up training, plus ~6 hours per week assisting with practices and games.
- Head Coach - Head Coaches bring their experience to lead a team, working closely with Section Heads to plan practices and games. Time commitment: one-time 3-hour SafeSport/Heads Up training, plus ~8 hours per week for planning, practices, and games.
- Section Head - Section Heads serve in a leadership role, managing a team while coordinating with club administrators and coaches. Responsibilities include planning with Head Coaches, communicating with team parents, and running practices and games. Time commitment: one-time 3-hour SafeSport/Heads Up training, plus 10–12 hours per week.
- Club Administration - Administrative volunteers help with player and coach registrations, as well as other organizational tasks. If you’re comfortable with spreadsheets, this is a great fit.
- Board Members - The club is looking to expand its board, which meets four times a year. Selecting this option simply indicates interest—no commitment until after a conversation.
- Fundraising - Fundraising volunteers help connect with local businesses interested in supporting the club. These efforts fund gear purchases, clinics, club events, and stipends for hardworking staff.
